Job summary

Amentum's Advanced Solutions Group seeks a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Tullahoma, TN or Farmington Hills, MI. You will develop hardware diagrams, control software, and interfaces with facility equipment across diverse projects.

The role requires 5+ years in control or data acquisition, PLC/HMI experience (Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson), and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through design, fabrication, commissioning, and site work.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics or related field.
Minimum 5 years in control or data acquisition design, implementation, commissioning.
Experience with PLC/HMI software in major environments (Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson).

Responsibilities

Develop hardware wiring diagrams for SCADA systems.
Develop control system software designs and PLC/HMI programs.
Develop interfaces to facility equipment using MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP.
Lead multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver technically successful systems.
Provide on-site commissioning and field support, domestically and abroad.
Coordinate with clients and other engineering disciplines to ensure success.
