Amentum's Advanced Solutions Group seeks an Early Career Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in the United States, with locations in Tullahoma, TN or Farmington Hills, MI. You will design and implement control systems for SCADA, PLC, and HMI, interfacing with facility equipment and supporting commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for government customer requirements.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0–5 years of experience in control or data acquisition system design, implementation, and commissioning.
• Ability to work on multi-discipline teams and learn from senior engineers.
• Willingness to innovate and pursue alternative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware assembly and wiring diagrams for SCADA systems.
• Develop control system software designs.
• Develop PLC programming and HMI development.
• Interface to facility equipment using MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, etc.
• Apply closed-loop control methods to CV systems.
• Support hardware assembly and panel shop testing.
• Perform on-site commissioning activities and startup.
• Communicate project status to clients and management.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to meet milestones.
