Flex-N-Gate LLC. is seeking an experienced Controls Manager in Michigan to provide technical leadership and manage electrical systems across the facility. The role emphasizes team leadership, project management, and system integration for industrial controls.

The ideal candidate will lead an engineering team, oversee PLC programming and control system implementations, and partner with operations to meet production goals with high quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 10–12 years in control systems in automotive
• Proven experience designing and developing electrical control systems for industrial machines and assembly lines.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards and design documentation.
• Leadership experience in engineering management and team development.
• Ability to read complex electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical docs.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of Electrical Controls Engineering dept. and staff.
• Lead a team to develop and maintain control systems throughout the plant.
• Design and supervise electrical diagrams, wiring diagrams, panels, and automation systems.
• Oversee controls architecture, software development, and system integration.
• Program PLCs, HMI design, startup and commissioning of systems.
• Drive development of new control solutions to improve competitiveness.
• Interpret customer specs and translate into technical controls requirements.
• Schedule resources, coach staff, and manage project priorities.
• Ensure EMS and QMS awareness and compliance.
