Fuera Emerging Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to advance automation initiatives in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes machine vision, robotics integration, and control system design across GCCX platforms and Keyence/FANUC-enabled workflows.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and 8–10 years of hands-on experience with vision systems, cameras, PLCs, and safety standards in a union manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 8–10 years of Controls Engineering experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with industrial vision systems and cameras.
• Experience with GM GCCX and Keyence Vision Systems.
• Experience with FANUC cobot integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems based on written sequences of operation.
• Support continuous improvement of automation projects with a focus on vision systems.
• Set up and integrate Keyence and Matrox cameras.
• Support FANUC vision applications and collaborative robot integration.
• Develop error-proofing and automated quality inspection solutions with Quality.
• Design and troubleshoot control systems, electrical wiring diagrams, and piping diagrams.
• Apply PLC hardware/software and servo drive technologies to automation projects.
• Provide technical support across controls engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and machine safety standards.
• Support and supervise technical activities as needed.
