Job summary

Viable Engineering Solutions is seeking a Robotics Controls Engineer III to own robot programming, device integration, and commissioning for robotic automation cells. You will work from simulation through startup with minimal oversight and develop deep expertise in industrial robot programming, motion, vision, and PLC integration.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, strong FANUC robotics experience, and proficiency with ROBOGUIDE and vision systems such as Cognex/Keyence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial automation experience, including at least 3 years programming industrial robots.
• Strong proficiency programming FANUC robots with teach pendant; experience with ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, Universal Robots is a plus.
• Proficiency with FANUC ROBOGUIDE or equivalent offline programming and simulation software.
• Experience integrating vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence, including vision-guided robot offsets.
• Experience integrating robots with PLCs, HMIs, and networks like EtherNet/IP or PROFINET.

Responsibilities

• Own robot programming and controls for portions of robotic cells from simulation through commissioning.
• Define sequences, I/O, and acceptance criteria with project team; estimate effort and raise risks early.
• Develop, test, and simulate robot applications in FANUC ROBOGUIDE or similar software.
