You will develop controls for custom applications, specify hardware, and build schematics, while ensuring safety and compliance. The role involves supporting new product development, working with project teams, and advancing automation technology including robotics and vision systems.

Qualifications

• BSEE from accredited four-year college
• 2+ years in controls design, panel construction, and PLC programming in high-volume assembly
• Knowledge of robotics, motion control, vision, sensors, and VFDs
• Safe wiring standards and machine safety knowledge
• Network architecture and infrastructure understanding
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide controls and electrical design for custom assembly equipment including hardware specs, BOMs, and schematics
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with maintenance/engineering teams
• Ensure machine safety per codes and maintain design documents
• Control programs and electrical drawings and keep revisions current
• Support new product development with engineering teams for assembly and testing solutions
• Develop automation initiatives and work with integrators on panel construction
• Prepare business cases and CAPEX requests for new controls hardware
