Job summary

Wayfair in Dallas, USA is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement SCADA systems, PLC logic, and data interfaces with WCS/WMS. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in engineering and design, with salary range shown and opportunities for growth and relocation support.

You will work across Ignition v8.x, Allen Bradley and Siemens, develop Python scripts and tests, model software requirements, and provide remote support for live production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering and design experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Strong programming, scripting, and PLC expertise across multiple languages.
• Experience with SCADA systems, WCS/WMS interfaces, and data integration.
• Familiarity with Ignition SCADA and industrial automation standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy SCADA systems using Ignition v8.X.
• Develop and optimize PLC logic for Allen Bradley and Siemens environments.
• Create Python scripts and automated test suites.
• Develop AOI logic for conveyor sorters and integrate with WCS/WMS.
• Perform API and integration testing across languages and platforms.
• Model software requirements and drive development through to implementation.
• Provide remote support for live production systems and document changes.
