Job summary
Actalent is hiring a Controls Engineer to design, program, integrate and commission advanced control systems for electric utilities and real-time grid management. You will develop design packages, configure SCADA and related systems, support testing, and provide technical leadership across projects.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in electric utilities, solution architecture, and grid management platforms such as ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, and EMS, with hands-on PLC/RTU/HMI/SCADA expertise and
Qualifications
- 7+ years in electric utilities and controls environments.
- Experience with ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, EMS and real-time grid management.
- Ability to interpret complex electrical and control drawings.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop design packages including requirements, specs, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and SCADA screens.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Lead complex controls integration across multiple systems and platforms.
- Perform QA/QC, factory testing, commissioning plans and field startup activities.
- Attend client meetings and support proposals with technical input.
