Job summary

Blattner Energy, Inc. seeks a Lead Controls Engineer to drive the SCADA and controls architecture for large multi-technology projects (wind, solar, BESS, gas). You’ll define control sequences, data contracts, and interlock strategies, coordinating with Owners, EOR teams, and vendors.

The role emphasizes design quality, schedule conformance, and coaching of engineers and CAD staff. Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, PE preferred, 8+ years in engineering/supervisory roles, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or equivalent.
• PE license or master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering/supervisory experience in energy/construction.
• Deep knowledge of utility-scale controls and integration equipment across wind, solar, BESS, and gas.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls engineering lifecycle from pre-award through design, FAT/SAT, commissioning and closeout.
• Define control narratives, point maps, and data contracts with EOR teams.
• Mentor engineers and CAD staff; drive standard control philosophies across projects.
