Job summary

Jobot in Vallejo, CA is seeking an experienced controls engineer to own the design and programming of control panels for Air Pollution Control systems. You’ll work across engineering, sales, operations, panel shops, and field teams to deliver turnkey solutions.

You’ll apply PLC/HMI programming on Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE, and Modicon platforms, review P&IDs, and support commissioning and field troubleshooting from concept to final as-built documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of controls engineering experience in OEM/custom-engineered equipment or industrial process environments.
Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, GE, and/or Modicon.
Experience designing industrial control panels, electrical schematics, and instrumentation/control systems.
Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other applicable industrial electrical standards.

Responsibilities

Design instrumentation and control systems for custom-engineered industrial equipment, including control panels and schematics.
Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, GE, and Modicon.
Review P&IDs and select instrumentation, VFDs, pumps, and other components.
Collaborate with panel fabricators from design through fabrication, testing, and as-built documentation.
Support equipment testing, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
