E Tech Group, a leading Bay Area-based engineering and system integration firm, seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to lead detailed hardware and software design for automation systems. You will program PLC/SCADA, configure historian databases, and support startup and commissioning across projects from concept to completion.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in engineering, 4+ years' experience, and strong communication in client-facing roles, with PLC/SCADA expertise across multiple platforms and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in controls engineering or consulting.
• Experience with setting up and troubleshooting control systems.
• Instrumentation experience in process environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ignition and PLC experience with listed platforms.
• Food and beverage and winery controls experience.
• S88 Batch standards knowledge and batch systems implementation.
• Control system validation experience is a plus.
• Other PLC platforms (GE, Siemens, Modicon) experience.
• Other SCADA/HMI packages (Proficy, Wonderware) experience.
• Design of control system electrical packages and networking.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide application/control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity.
• Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions meeting requirements.
• Modify program/system logic across multiple subsystems.
• Develop proficiency in programming languages and control device networks.
• Interact with customers to understand business environments and define scope.
• Work in a team; emphasize customer service and continuous improvement.
• Serve as an ambassador upholding core values and client success.
