E Tech Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead hardware and software design of process automation systems. You will program PLC/SCADA apps, configure historians, and support startup and commissioning across diverse industries. The role emphasizes architecture definition, detailed software design, and ongoing system optimization.

Preference is given to candidates near Santa Clara, CA, with remote-eligible candidates within the U.S. who can travel up to 30% and onsite as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering or equivalent.
• Consulting experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in process control systems and PLC/SCADA environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and development for control systems of varying complexity.
• Develop and evaluate system solutions meeting requirements.
• Modify program logic for multiple systems/subsystems.
• Develop proficiency across PLCs and control networks.
• Interact with customers to define scope, plans, and deliverables.
• Collaborate in a team to drive customer service and continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 30% as needed for site work.
• Support documentation and planning in regulated environments.
