Job summary

Hargrove in Alabama is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to lead design and integration of complex power and control systems. The role requires 4+ years of industrial experience and a Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with Process Engineers, and ensure NFPA/OSHA compliance while delivering projects from concept to startup. Travel and occasional off-hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/70E/79 and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop technicians on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary administrator and troubleshooter for plant power and control systems.
• Builds and maintains a sustainable system for plant E&I skill development.
• Coaches the area E&I Coordinator on skill development of operators and technicians.
• Collaborates with Controls Engineering Manager to develop onboarding and development systems for engineers and leaders.
• Ensures compliance with local and national regulator codes and equipment safety requirements.
• Validates MES data from PLC into Proficy and supports data conditioning for analysis.
