Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in McCalla, AL seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to design complex systems and lead project teams. You will validate PLC and MES interfaces, develop onboarding programs for engineers, and ensure NFPA/OSHA compliance on site.

Your background includes 4+ years in industrial E&I, familiarity with Proficy and FactoryTalk, and demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, and cost improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant industrial electrical & instrumentation experience.
• Strong knowledge of machine/process control hardware and software.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and manage projects in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and validation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate onboarding and development.
• Develop power and control standards and ensure compliance.
• Support capital projects from design through startup.
• Analyze losses and implement improvement plans for safety and reliability.
