Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a direct-hire role with a premier manufacturing client. You will design and implement control systems for new commercial refrigeration equipment and thermodynamics-focused projects, moving beyond PLC maintenance.

Expect fast decision-making, hands-on culture, and flexibility for the right candidate. Hybrid/remote options possible; relocation support available on the East Coast.

Qualifications

• 7+ years controls engineering experience or 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years with a Master’s degree; refrigeration controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• R&D / New Product Development: write code from scratch for new refrigeration controllers.
• Plant Support: configure controllers and optimize existing systems for performance.
• Field & Customer Support: travel up to 25% for commissioning and startups.
