Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Indiana to lead and develop automation solutions for metals industry clients. You will design, implement, test, and startup control systems while coordinating with project managers and engineers to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in AC/DC motors and drives, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background.
• 5+ years of experience with AC or DC motors and drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Industrial Automation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of PLC, VSD, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of automation and control systems for metals industry applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Responsible for project budget and schedule requirements.
• Develop and maintain standards and best practices.
• Develop system and communication architecture for industrial control projects.
• Specify and configure hardware components such as AC/DC drives, switchgear and control panels.
• Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Support the sales team in development of technical solutions.
