Job summary

Responsibilities include developing system architectures, specifying hardware like AC/DC drives and PLCs, and mentoring junior engineers while supporting sales with technical solutions.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or equivalent required and demonstrated project experience.
• 5+ years with motors, drives, PLCs, and HMIs in industrial automation.
• Lead field start-up testing and site acceptance activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation and control systems for metals industry applications
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure project success
• Manage project budget and schedule requirements
• Develop and maintain standards and best practices
• Develop system and communication architecture for industrial projects
• Specify and configure hardware components (AC/DC drives, switchgear, panels)
• Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Support sales in development of technical solutions
