Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to lead project management and controls engineering across PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, instrumentation, checkout support, and startup assistance.

You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with customers to ensure profitable project execution. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, cost tracking, quality assurance, and interface with clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline, EOE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project management: scope, scheduling, cost tracking, and client communication.
• Oversee engineering design, hardware selection, delivery, and commissioning activities.
• Lead engineering tasks, assign work, and ensure progress meets deadlines.
• Provide cyber security guidance and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support senior staff and mentor junior engineers on project tasks.
• Travel to job sites up to 50%.
