Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks a Senior Project Manager - Controls to independently manage projects from initiation through completion.

Lead cost, schedule, and resource controls while building strong client and vendor relationships. You will guide clients in decisions, ensure solutions meet business needs, and deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations with proactive leadership and excellent organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Servant leader who loves to see others succeed and is energized being part of a team.
• Exemplary communication skills.
• 6–8 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in Data Center construction and build-out desired.
• PMP certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manages small to large-scale projects for clients independently with minimal oversight
• May be responsible for managing and supporting multiple projects at once
• Develops, manages, and controls project costs
• Develops, manages, and controls project schedules
• Manages and directs resources appropriately for the project
• Manages the end-to-end project lifecycle for assigned projects
• Guides the client in project decisions, ensuring the best solution for their business
• Leads and develops a high-performing team to deliver on project goals
• Manages vendor and client relations to meet service expectations
• Maintains regular contact with client and reports on progress and issues
• Accountable for project and/or program success
• Represents the client as an OPM when needed, managing third parties
• Understands and abides by the Employee Handbook
