Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design control systems for industrial material handling solutions. The role leads large projects, develops specifications, and mentors associates.

Expect hybrid work with domestic travel and the potential to contribute to manufacturing transitions. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 8+ years of related experience, and experience with control software, AutoCAD Electrical, and safety codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience.
• Experience with sortation, conveyance equipment, or robotics design is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine and equipment design.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems for industrial material handling solutions.
• Lead concepting and design of products meeting customer needs.
• Collaborate with development team for compatibility with manufacturing operations.
• Develop PLC programs and prepare control panel schematics.
• Travel domestically up to 40% within North America.
