Job summary
Avid Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team in a hybrid work environment in North Carolina. You will work on process control system integration projects and develop electrical equipment and control systems daily.
You will program PLCs, configure HMIs, and contribute to project documentation, specifications, and client-facing communications. A strong background in electrical/mechanical/chemical engineering and at least 5 years in automation is required.
Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering or related field.
- Five years of experience in project-based automation and control engineering.
- Experience in process-based industries (pharma, biotech, food & beverage, chemicals).
- Experience in consulting or system integration.
- Experience with Rockwell, Emerson, and Inductive Automation preferred.
- Hybrid work environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Program PLCs and handle HMI configuration and design.
- Handle project documentation.
- Assist with quoting projects and proposals.
- Write specifications, schedules and technical reports.
- Interface with clients on technical matters.
- Assist with estimates and proposals.
