Job summary

Actalent seeks an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to provide technical leadership in automation design, development, and implementation. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and tailor machine control packages to customer requirements.

The role demands deep PLC/SPLC experience (Siemens and Rockwell), HMI exposure, and familiarity with robotics, vision systems, and safety designs, with travel about 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering/electro-mechanics or similar.
• 10+ years of experience with PLC & SPLC platforms in automation.
• Experience with Siemens and Rockwell Allen-Bradley required.
• Experience with HMIs – Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff preferred.
• Experience with programming and teaching industrial robots preferred.
• Experience with machine vision applications - Cognex, Keyence, etc., preferred.
• Experience with safety PLCs, safety devices and fail-safe electrical designs.
