Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for its Rocket Motor Systems team in McHenry, MS. You will design and commission control systems for high-rate solid rocket motor production, architect Siemens PLC code, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across production lines.

You will lead integration with FactoryOS, tune servo drives, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of controls and automation experience in a production environment.
• Expert in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
• Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, Ethernet IP networking protocols.
• Experience with electrical component selection, wire sizing, circuit protection, and heat management in control cabinets.
• Experience integrating with SCADA and OT Networking.
• Experience performing Risk Assessments and Controls Safety Design.
• Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
• U.S. Person due to export controls access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code with emphasis on maintainable, reusable production software.
• Generate and enforce internal standards for control system architectures and safety buyoffs.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and lines.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives and VFDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cut downtime and improve processes.
