Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Aiken, SC to support a high-volume automotive molding and assembly facility. You will work with PLC-controlled automation, robotics, vision inspection systems, VFDs, hydraulics, and MES to improve uptime and machine performance.

The role is about 40% production support and 60% project work in a 24/7 environment, partnering with Maintenance, Production and Engineering to drive capital projects and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Hands-on controls and automation experience in a production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC programs in manufacturing.
• Familiar with MES, data collection, and shop-floor networking.

Responsibilities

• Support molding and assembly operations; troubleshoot line downtime.
• Drive automation improvements, controls modifications and capital projects.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production and Engineering to improve uptime and reliability.
