Job summary

Owens Corning in Aiken, SC is seeking an Automations and Electrical Controls Engineer to own automation and maintenance operations at the site. You will drive improvements in safety, productivity and quality while reducing costs and ensuring environmental compliance.

You will lead safety initiatives, develop training for maintenance personnel, support projects with PLC/HMI expertise, and build reliable electrical and control systems through Preventive and Predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
5+ years automation and control experience in manufacturing.
Strong safety awareness and leadership.
Experience with 480 V electrical systems.
Experience leading projects (Capital, Focused Improvement).
Strong PLC/HMI knowledge and Siemens programming.

Responsibilities

Lead safety for an injury-free work environment.
Develop and execute maintenance training plans and coach technicians.
Provide electrical, controls and automation support for projects and operations.
Troubleshoot plant equipment and systems; support knowledge transfer.
Develop Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs and improve plant reliability.
Create One Point Lessons and documentation for as-built systems.
