Job summary
Autoneum North America, Inc. in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead electrical controls and automation efforts across the manufacturing floor.
You will design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, robotics, and data systems to improve reliability and performance. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Safety to drive automation and digital transformation initiatives, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation engineering or related field.
- 7+ years in industrial controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong PLC/HMI/industrial network troubleshooting and project work.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, programming, and troubleshooting of plant automation and controls systems.
- Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, VFD, motion, robotics, and industrial network systems.
- Provide advanced technical support to resolve downtime and quality issues.
- Support new equipment startups, commissioning and product launches.
- Create, review, and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, and safety documentation.
- Lead capital projects, upgrades, and obsolescence planning.
