Job summary

Autoneum North America, Inc. in Aiken, SC, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead PLC/HMI, automation, and plant-system initiatives on the manufacturing floor.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Safety to reduce downtime and advance digital transformation through data collection and dashboards. Qualifications

• Bachelors or similar in Electrical/Controls/Automation or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong PLC/HMI/VFD/servo and industrial-network experience.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms preferred; other platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, programming, testing, and continuous improvement of plant automation and controls.
• Develop and maintain PLC/HMI/VFD/motion control, robotics, vision, and industrial networks.
• Provide advanced technical support to Maintenance and Production to resolve downtime and quality issues.
• Support new equipment installations, commissioning, and product launches from concept to start of production.
• Create, review, and maintain electrical schematics, control panels, and safety documentation.
• Lead capital projects and upgrades related to controls and instrumentation.
