Job summary

Thermo Systems is seeking a controls engineer III to lead design, integration, and delivery of automation projects in industrial environments. You will drive start-up, testing, commissioning, and customer collaboration with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role involves leading tasks across design, implementation, and testing phases, working with project teams, and traveling up to 50% depending on assignments. A strong background in PLC/HMI and diagrams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Perform FAT for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical diagrams; provide feedback on field conditions.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Review documentation for accuracy and quality; deliver tasks on schedule.
