Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support and maintain critical control systems at the CHP plant serving The Ohio State University. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade PLCs, DCS, HMIs, and historian platforms while ensuring reliability and cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum associates degree in Electrical/Electronics or Controls with 8+ years of experience.
• Role requires daily attendance at the worksite.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and potential after-hours support.
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to drive a company vehicle.
• Adherence to ENGIE ethics and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems across CHP and utility assets.
• Maintain and optimize Rockwell PlantPAx DCS, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and FactoryTalk applications.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs, networks, and field instrumentation.
• Support commissioning, startup, and system integration activities.
• Maintain historian systems (eDNA, AVEVA PI) and ensure data integrity and interface reliability.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, IT/OT teams, and third-party vendors.
• Support industrial network infrastructure and cybersecurity practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation (control narratives, network diagrams, configurations).
• Identify and implement system improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
