Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Ohio. You will lead the development, installation, and commissioning of control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and boost productivity across facilities.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming, HMI and SCADA integration, and strong knowledge of plant control architectures. Travel up to 25% is expected; diverse, team-oriented environment with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
Proficient in PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, and electrical controls.
Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI development, Wonderware (Aveva) ArchestrA.
Experience with .NET programming, SQL Databases, and Ethernet/IP Communication.
Open to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

Develop, install, and commission control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
Programming and integrating PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for automated equipment.
Provide Controls and Automation Systems technical support to other company locations.
Design and selection of plant control system architecture (control panels, hardware, communication protocols, etc.).
Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
