Job summary

Williams is seeking an Engineer Sr / Staff – Controls Engineering to lead design, integration, and commissioning of plant-wide control systems supporting power generation, BESS, and energy infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable control solutions.

Role requires strong experience in PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, control system programming, and industrial networking. Travel ~25% with increased activity during commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university; 12–15 years in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
• Eight years’ experience for Senior in similar field.
• PE License preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of control narratives, network architectures, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and integration of plant-wide control systems (BOP, generator and turbine controls, PMS, BESS).
• Develop and review control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and network architectures.
• Provide technical direction to control system integrators, vendors, and OEM partners.
• Support FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations.
