Job summary

Carrier in the United States is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design and program advanced building automation systems tailored to each client. You will mentor other engineers, ensure compliance with design and programming standards, and create clear design documents for project teams while supporting sales with technical expertise.

You will test, validate interfaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable BAS solutions, with travel as needed to implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years HVAC/BAS experience or an Associate degree with 8+ years; or high school with 10+ years BAS experience.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; no visa sponsorship.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers; strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and program advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) for site-specific needs.
• Develop and mentor other Controls Engineers.
• Create clear design documents with technical details for project teams.
• Document and communicate BAS design revisions.
• Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for BAS.
• Test programming and interfaces prior to deployment.
• Provide technical support to sales to meet customer requirements.
• Support functional testing for complex building systems.
• Advise on design and programming standards; travel as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in HVAC/BAS

Associate degree in HVAC/BAS

High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years HVAC/BAS experience
