Job summary
The Hershey Company is seeking a Senior Controls & Electrical Engineer to lead design, implementation, and commissioning of advanced automation across our manufacturing network in Hershey, PA. This role blends technical leadership with project management to deliver scalable control systems.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Automation and 5+ years in industrial automation, with PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and networking experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years designing and implementing industrial automation and electrical systems.
- Experience leading controls and electrical workstreams on capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of PLC/PAC programming, HMI/SCADA, networks, and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and assess industrial control systems for manufacturing and packaging.
- Lead the specification, design, programming, installation, commissioning, and startup of automation systems.
- Develop control narratives, electrical schematics, and commissioning plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers, system integrators, and plant teams for project execution.
- Mentor engineers and drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
