Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Controls Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of BMS/EPMS control panel architectures for mission-critical projects. You will produce high-quality drawings, ensure manufacturability, and drive design improvements across programs.

You will collaborate with project teams, vendors, and customers to validate requirements, ensure timely execution, and uphold safety and quality standards in a remote European-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline is required.
• 5–7 years' experience in electrical control panel design, controls engineering, automation, or systems integration.
• Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing, utilities, pharmaceuticals, or mission-critical projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design control panels for HVAC, power monitoring, switchgear interfaces and networking in mission-critical environments.
• Incorporate inputs from EOR, MEP packages, vendor submittals, network docs, and project design docs.
• Ensure 100% readiness of BMS/EPMS drawings from templates to final issue-for-manufacture level.
• Perform constructability assessments of EPMS & BMS drawings and documentation.
• Validate cable routing, power distribution alignment, and site constraint compliance.
• Identify risks, drive mitigations, and develop points mapping and wiring requirements.
• Coordinate with panel manufacturers and vendors to resolve questions and support fabrication.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Support project leaders in risk identification and resolution and maintain delivery alignment.
