Job summary
Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to diagnose and repair complex automation and control system failures in our North Carolina facility. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMI, servo, VFD and networking, with 3-5 years of experience and an Associate degree preferred.

Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, servo controls and VFDs.
- Ability to modify ladder logic and troubleshoot control systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 480V.
- Experience with robotics and automated material handling systems.
- Availability for off-shift support and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex automation and control system failures.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, and motion control systems.
- Modify PLC and HMI programs under engineering guidelines.
- Perform advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting.
- Support robotic programming, maintenance, and optimization.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
- Maintain industrial communication networks.
- Analyze downtime events and implement corrective actions.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
