Job summary
Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, and optimization of control systems for our automated manufacturing lines. You will collaborate with maintenance and project teams to ensure reliable, safe operation of equipment.
Responsibilities include leading capital projects, wiring and schematic work, and driving lean improvements to elevate efficiency, quality, and safety across facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or equipment integration is a plus.
- Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robotics; able to read electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for automated machinery, including electrical drawings and control specifications.
- Program and optimize control systems using Allen Bradley PLC platforms.
- Provide technical leadership to maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Lead capital projects, manage outside resources, and oversee installation and startup of new equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and safety.
