Job summary
Saft America, Inc. is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to maintain production equipment on the factory floor in Valdese, NC.
The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and programming of PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives, with collaboration across engineering and maintenance teams. Ideal candidates offer an Associate degree in Electronics and hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, AutoCAD drawings, and robotics systems, all within a safety-conscious environment.
Qualifications
- Perform hands-on complex repairs/adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment with older controls and install new controls.
- Back up and store PLC programs.
- Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC and repair automation equipment and electromechanical systems.
- Program HMI panels and Siemens/Allen Bradley devices where applicable.
- Set up and program Servo Drives and related motion controllers.
- Follow safety policies and collaborate with engineering on projects.
