Job summary

Spreedly Inc is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting function and advance a scalable, automated operating environment. This role reports to the VP of Finance and partners with FP&A and cross‑functional leaders to own accounting across the business.

As the steward of our finance systems (NetSuite, Orb, Ramp), you will drive modern processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and enable rapid growth with internal controls and automation.

Qualifications

• Active CPA certification.
• Experience owning a broad accounting function.
• SaaS accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools or AI-enabled workflows to improve accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of close management and ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function with accurate books and a timely close.
• Oversee AR, AP, payroll, revenue recognition, treasury, tax, and audit.
• Own and improve the NetSuite, Orb, and Ramp stack with data integrity.
• Assess workflows and implement automation and AI-enabled processes.
• Build scalable controls to support growth and SOC 2 readiness.
• Manage accounting for usage-based contracts (commitments, overages, billing in arrears).
• Review revenue recognition in contracts under ASC 606 with Legal and Sales.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and reporting structure.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Revenue Ops, and other teams on contracts.
