Job summary

GOAT USA seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive scalable processes across retail, e-commerce, wholesale, and events.

The Controller will manage the general ledger, close processes, inventory accounting, tax compliance, audits, and internal controls while partnering with executives to support growth. In-person role in Plainview, NY with a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• NetSuite ERP experience is required.
• 10+ years of accounting and tax experience.
• Experience with multi-channel revenue environments (retail, e-commerce, wholesale) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations ensuring completeness and accuracy of transactions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, with calendars, reconciliations, reviews, and controls.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, and cost of goods sold.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
