Job summary

Segrera Associates is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting organization and strengthen financial infrastructure for a rapidly growing, multi-entity service-based business in the United States. You will own close processes, set accounting policies, and drive internal controls to enable scalable growth while partnering with the CFO and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience as Controller or senior accounting leader.
• Experience in a large, complex, multi-entity organization.
• HVAC/mechanical services or project/service-based environment experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• ERP experience in large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across a large, multi-entity organization.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll, reconciliations.
• Ensure financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP.
• Partner with CFO and executives on performance, reporting, and initiatives.
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting organization, including hiring and succession planning.
• Drive faster month-end close while maintaining accuracy.
• Oversee acquisitions integration including opening balances and COA alignment.
• Improve processes with ERP optimization and technology.
