Job summary

CertainPath is seeking an experienced Senior Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting. You will oversee close processes and ensure timely financial reporting for multi-entity operations.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Experience overseeing multiple accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Experience researching and resolving complex accounting matters.
• Demonstrated success improving accounting processes or optimizing financial systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across GL, AP, AR, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely, accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, journals, and schedules for accuracy.
• Ensure integrity of data and reporting across entities and business units.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies compliant with GAAP and regs.
• Research and resolve complex or escalated accounting matters.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and reporting integrity.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate necessary documentation.
• Partner with CFO on complex accounting matters and initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Set priorities, expectations, and accountability across the team.
• Identify opportunities to optimize, automate, and scale processes.
• Lead process improvements and financial system enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues affecting accounting and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with CFO.
