Job summary

PACCAR seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to lead accounting teams and own U.S. and Canadian lease accounting, ensuring timely financial statements and regulatory reporting.

You will mentor three accountants, drive process improvements with automation and data analytics, and coordinate with Corporate Tax, external auditors, and senior management on complex lease transactions while upholding internal controls and GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of lease accounting GAAP rules and regulations.
• Public Accounting or audit experience is a plus.
• CPA certification required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop three accountants, including hiring, training, cross-training, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical accounting research and guidance on significant lease transactions.
• Manage daily and month-end U.S. and Canadian lease accounting activities.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors.
