Job summary

PACCAR Leasing Company is seeking a General Accounting Manager to lead the U.S. and Canada accounting functions, supervise a team of three accountants, and ensure timely financial statements. You will coordinate quarterly reporting to corporate, support external audits, and strengthen internal controls.

Drive process improvements using AI and data analytics, and collaborate with Treasury, Tax, and other accounting teams to support SEC filings and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Accounting degree with 7+ years accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience required; CPA/Masters preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.

PACCAR Leasing, a PACCAR division, was founded in 1980 to provide premium Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles to leasing and rental customers. Requisition Summary

Responsible for managing the General Accounting functions for PACCAR Leasing Company. This position interacts closely with a variety of departments and personnel throughout the corporate headquarters including Canada and Controllers' organization

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and motivate staff of three accountants including hiring, training, cross-training, goal setting and performance appraisals.
• Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting for the U.S. and Canada General Accounting functions including daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and analytical reports, including quarterly tax and external reporting packages.
• Review various journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and perform account analysis.
• Review various department expenditures and analyze variances between budget and actual results for monthly flash.
• Assist with preparation / review of forecasts and annual budgets as applicable.
• Responsible for development, and implementation of system initiatives including robotic process automations to reduce cycle time and improve department effectiveness and productivity.
• Establish and maintain effective communications with PLC operations, Corporate and PFC Treasury, PACCAR Tax Department and other accounting departments.
• Manage and coordinate quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors to support SEC filings and other information requests.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, including participating in internal control testing or operations reviews for U.S. and Canada and supporting internal/external audits.
• Coordinate and assist with special projects as assigned, including system implementations and championing various process improvements utilizing AI, Six Sigma and other data analytic tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. tableau, etc.).
• Problem solver with ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Positive attitude and "can-do" approach to issue resolution.

Education/Experience

REQUIRED:

• BS/BA Accounting degree
• 7 + years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• Supervisory experience

DESIRED:

• Masters degree or CPA strongly preferred
• SAP experience preferred

• Public Accounting or audit experience
