Legacy Staffing Solutions, Inc. seeks a Controller to strengthen internal accounting, lead administrative and bookkeeping staff, and help grow advisory services in a public accounting environment.

Responsibilities include owning the monthly close, payroll processing, and client reporting, with emphasis on workflow improvements and staff development. This is a full-time, in-office role with peak month-end activity.

Qualifications

• Our client seeks a Controller with an accounting degree or comparable experience.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience including monthly close and financial statement prep.
• CPA firm experience and supervisory experience leading administrative or accounting staff are required.
• Strong Excel skills and discretion with confidential compensation and personnel information.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close, journal entries, GL reviews, and financial statements.
• Oversee payroll processing, tax deposits, and 401(k) administration.
• Supervise clerical, administrative, and bookkeeping staff and build process documentation.
• Lead improvement of workflows using AI tools and technology.
