Job summary

Enabled Energy seeks a hands-on Controller to lead accurate, timely accounting for our project-based data center environments. You will own close processes, GAAP reporting, controls, and project accounting while partnering with delivery, commercial, and Central Services teams.

The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, manages cash and working capital, and translates complex financial data into clear insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or active candidacy preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with close, financial reporting, controls, budgeting, and audit or tax coordination.
• Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
• Project-based accounting experience in construction/energy/infrastructure preferred.
• ERP experience with Dynamics 365 Finance or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for U.S. and Canadian entities with accurate records.
• Own monthly and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and project accounting adjustments.
• Prepare GAAP-aligned financial statements, management reports, KPIs, and leadership summaries.
• Partner with CFO to maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Oversee project accounting, including revenue recognition, WIP, costs, and margins.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Oversee AR and cash positioning; support banking relationships and lender reporting.
• Coordinate tax compliance with external advisors and manage filings.
• Lead audit preparation and oversee CPA relationship; assist R&D tax credit analysis.
• Maintain accounting processes in QuickBooks and transition to Dynamics 365 Finance.
