Portless is seeking a senior accounting leader to own end-to-end financial close for multiple entities and currencies. You will manage billing, AR, cash forecasting and the first external audit, while building scalable controls and processes.

You will lead an accounting team across time zones, partner with data/engineering, and ensure auditable, lean operations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role with global scope.

Qualifications

• CPA, CA or equivalent designation required.
• 8+ years in accounting with 3+ years as a controller or equivalent.
• Experience leading multi-entity, multi-currency close and intercompany accounting.
• Prior billing/collections ownership in high-volume, order-based business.
• Experience with external audits and readiness.
• Proven leadership across time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close across all entities, consolidation and intercompany/FX.
• Oversee billing and order-to-cash with accurate rate cards, credits and VAT.
• Manage AR, cash forecasts and 13-week cash position.
• Lead external audit and diligence, with timely lender reporting.
• Coordinate tax/compliance for US/Canada/China, with transfer pricing.
• Strengthen controls and document processes; evaluate ERP needs.
• Lead and develop accounting team, collaborate with data/engineering.
