Cala Sourcing Solutions LLC is seeking a highly capable Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing organization. This role partners with the CFO, overseeing GAAP, ASC 606, audits, and multi-entity consolidation while driving system improvements.

A CPA and 7+ years of progressive accounting experience are required. The position is 100% remote in the U.S., with Pacific Time hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is REQUIRED.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• ASC 606 revenue recognition experience is REQUIRED.
• Audit experience is REQUIRED, either conducting audits or managing external audits.
• Strong accounting systems expertise is REQUIRED, including automation and process improvement.
• Must be highly hands-on, comfortable managing transactional accounting and higher-level duties.
• Must reside in the U.S. and work Pacific Time hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end close.
• Manage AP/AR, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and ASC 606 adoption and controls.
• Coordinate multi-entity consolidations, including international ops.
• Lead SEC reporting, audits, and tax compliance with third parties.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and planning.
• Drive system improvements and automation in finance.

Compensation: $140,000-$170,000 Base + Equity (Stock Options)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller ready to take ownership of the accounting function, partner directly with the CFO, and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.

Ensure GAAP compliance, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and strong internal controls.

Manage multi-entity consolidations, including international operations.

Coordinate SEC reporting, external audits, and tax compliance with third-party providers.

Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and financial planning.

Optimize accounting systems, automation, processes, and reporting.

Provide hands-on accounting support while helping build a scalable finance function.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

Active CPA license - REQUIRED.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.

ASC 606 revenue recognition experience - REQUIRED.

Audit experience - REQUIRED, either conducting audits or managing external audits.

Strong accounting systems expertise - REQUIRED, including process improvement and automation.

Must be highly hands-on, comfortable managing transactional accounting as well as higher-level financial responsibilities.

Must reside in the U.S. and work Pacific Time hours.

Highly Preferred

SaaS, technology, or recurring-revenue industry experience.

NetSuite or similar ERP experience.

SEC reporting and SOX compliance exposure.

Commission accounting and multi-entity consolidation experience.
