Job summary

Goshen Engineering in Mount Olive, NC seeks an experienced Controller to lead daily accounting operations, coordinate with the President and fractional CFO, and drive process improvements across finance. The role balances technical accounting with cross-functional collaboration and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring internal controls, while guiding staff development and system enhancements for the organization’s accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or project-based business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and supporting reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
