Job summary

ACME Cryogenics, part of Dover Corporation’s OPW Clean Energy Solutions, seeks an Assistant Controller to manage month-end close, related accounting, and internal controls in Ball Ground, GA. The role requires a manufacturing background and ERP proficiency, with strong Excel and PowerBI skills.

You will lead a small team and collaborate with corporate accounting, IT, and operations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, US GAAP knowledge, and a proven record of process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Public Accounting/Audit experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems is required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel; PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close processes and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Post journal entries, ensure revenue recognition accuracy and accruals.
• Record fixed assets and disposals in the general ledger.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with leadership.
• Lead process improvements to streamline close with cross-functional teams.
• Support audits and provide schedules as requested by auditors.
• Ensure tax compliance at federal and state levels; assist with 1099s.
• Oversee AP/AR activity and assist with vendor and customer inquiries.
• Mentor and lead accounting staff across multiple sites.
