Job summary

Ideal Living, LLC. is seeking a Director of Accounting / Controller in Los Angeles to lead the accounting function, own the close, and deliver accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.

The role includes safeguarding internal controls, managing audits, and driving automation across multi-entity operations. You will mentor the team, partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Marketing, and provide strategic FP&A input for growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA license desired but not required.
• 8+ years accounting experience; 3+ years in Director of Accounting/Controller role.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 606/842.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team; own close process and reporting.
• Oversee reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
• Manage external audits and tax advisory coordination.
• Drive process improvements and automation across accounting functions.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement and Finance on controls and cost savings.
• Build vendor governance, AP controls and KPI dashboards.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to leadership.
